Masks
You can add a mask to a layer and use the mask to reveal portions of layer underneath and hide other portions.
Create masks
In Creatie, you can set any layer, including shapes, text, images, frames, groups, etc., as a mask layer. Here are three ways to create a mask:
-
Select a layer, click the Use as mask icon in the top toolbar
-
Select a layer, right-click and select Use as mask in the menu options
-
Select a layer, use the shortcut keys (Mac:
Control
+Command
+M
/ Windows:Shift
+Ctrl
+M
)
If a shape is used as a mask, the mask will be applied to the layer above it in the layer panel.
To convert a mask layer to a regular layer, select the layer, click the Use as mask icon in the top toolbar, or use the shortcut keys (Mac: Control
+ Command
+ M
/ Windows: Shift
+ Ctrl
+ M
).
